City of London, which carries out local authority cleansing and waste functions amongst others, has praised the all-electric Citymaster ZE.
Responsible for all street cleansing duties, markets, open spaces, schools, social services, and housing, City of London had the Citymaster 1650 ZE for a six month trial and was impressed with the results.
Vince Dignam, City of London’s Business Performance and Transport Group Manager said: “The service, provided by Hako from start to finish, has been excellent, starting with the correct specification, training and ongoing support. Repairs were carried out when required in a timely fashion and regular updates and site meetings from the team were carried out.”
A highlight for Vince was the dual functionality of the machine which affords a sweeping and effective scrubber drying washing function.
He added: “This is a great product. It performed well against the other electric sweepers in our fleet especially offering two applications for the price of one.
“For the street cleansing function, the City suffers from lots of staining and ASB issues and we usually have to power wash. This machine could sweep and be used as scrubber drier. This helped with our changing landscape and the way we are a 24/7 operation, dealing with cleansing issues and dual operation of sweeping and washing.”
The trial will help to determine the next machines added to the City of London fleet over the coming years.
