New Starter – Sarah Blackstone
Hako Machines Welcomes Sarah Blackstone to the Team.
To find out more about Sarah, we held a small Q&A session, details below:-
What is your new role at Hako?
I’m joining Hako as a workshop engineer
Tell us about your experience and how this will benefit you at Hako?
For the past 9 years I have worked as a restoration technician in a small, classic Volkswagen garage. Doing everything from basic engine servicing and MOT repairs, to full restorations. I started as an enthusiastic trainee, and have worked hard to develop my skills and now lead the large restoration jobs. Due to the unpredictable nature of these kinds of jobs, I am used to adapting to changing situations.
What are you most looking forward to in your new role?
While a lot of my existing skills should be transferable into my new role, I’m looking forward to learning and taking on some new challenges.
How do you spend your weekends?
My weekends are generally fairly busy, I like to run and usually go to parkrun on Saturday mornings. I try to get away in my camper as often as possible, to VW festivals and camping with friends around the country. I also like making things, and built a competitive soapbox race car.
What is top of your bucket list?
I don’t really have a bucket list as such, but I do love to travel to new places, I’m hoping to have a trip to Finland this year. I’d also like to get my full motorbike licence.
Welcome to “Team Hako” Sarah
