It is the Policy of Hako Machines Ltd that our business activities will not have a negative impact on Biodiversity. Through procedures and initiatives, it is the ultimate target of the company to attain a positive impact on biodiversity and are among the forefront of this in our field of operations.

We will comply with all legislation and regulations as they relate to biodiversity and monitor new legislation as it is implemented to ensure continual compliance.

Our commitment to the conservation of biodiversity is of high importance to Hako Machines Ltd, to ensure continual improvement we will train our employees and raise awareness amongst other businesses we have contact with on the importance of not adversely affecting biodiversity with our business activities.

Hako Machines Ltd are actively participating in opportunities to support local and global biodiversity conservation initiatives. We are supporting projects internationally with Forest nation and have replanted over 30 hectares of forest in Tanzania, as well as supporting with education and development of the local population so they can efficiently use the reforested areas without causing a negative impact on it. On a national level we are working with Greener Growth on smaller local projects that are all aimed at improving biodiversity in areas where it is traditionally on the decline, this also includes work in schools on educating the next generation on the importance of biodiversity

Hako Machines are part of the Hako GMBH group and with the group providing or controlling 95% of our supply chain we work closely with them to ensure that policies with regards to biodiversity are aligned.

We will carryout work to assess the impact the company is having on biodiversity and will report regularly on performance, initiatives and progress to Stakeholders
