Hako renews BTCC partnership with Aron Taylor-Smith
Hako Machines Limited has extended its partnership with Irish ace, Aron Taylor-Smith, to compete in the 2024 Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship.
Debuting in the BTCC during the 2023 season, Hako’s support quickly propelled Aron Taylor-Smith back to the front of the grid, particularly in the second half of the season as he consistently threatened for podiums and race wins. The cleaning machine manufacturer got to experience what the BTCC is all about throughout the season with a number of both staff and customers getting behind the scenes access to the BTCC courtesy of Taylor-Smith.
In a silverware-laden season for the Dubliner, Taylor-Smith also added four Independent class victories to a trophy cabinet that already includes four outright race wins and, now, 20 podiums finishes since making his debut back in 2011.
The past nine months have certainly marked something of a renaissance for Taylor-Smith’s touring car career, and the focus has already shifted towards making 2024 an even bigger step towards the ultimate goal of championship glory.
Aron Taylor-Smith commented: “I have to say that I love being part of the Hako family. I have been fortunate enough to get to know a number of the staff and even spend a day at their new Demonstration and Training Centre in Wakefield. They are a company that are at the top of their industry with a focus on building an incredible team around them and this approach aligns directly with what I am trying to achieve in the BTCC. I am genuinely over the moon to get to continue flying the Hako flag in 2024.”
As Taylor-Smith explained, he was welcomed into the new Hako premises in Wakefield as part of their annual staff conference. The new premises marks an exciting chapter for Hako as it is now even better equipped to service the nation, operating from both Crick and Wakefield and strengthening the company’s standing as a market leader in the UK. To coincide with this, the Hako partnership will see an increased presence within the BTCC and even more opportunities for staff and customers to attend BTCC races.
Managing Director Sylvie Giangolini added: “Our partnership with Aron Taylor-Smith exceeded a generic marketing program as he completely ‘gets’ Hako. He goes above and beyond to ensure that we have everything we need, from content creation to looking after our guests when they are trackside. Being part of his 2023 campaign was something that everyone within the company loved and to see him getting the results that he deserved made it even sweeter. To say that we are excited for 2024 is an understatement!”
Preparations are well underway for the start of the 2024 season with a host of winter developments already underway within Power Maxed Racing to ensure that they are even more competitive come the first race of the season at Donington Park.
Be sure to keep an eye on both the Hako and Árón Taylor-Smith’s social media channels for regular updates.
